Thank you very much to everyone who braved the weather this morning to pay their respects at the Remembrance Day Service. A great turn out from Cubs, Scouts and Explorers - a credit to Scouting in East Kilbride

Thank you very much to everyone who came down to the scout hall tonight for the bonfire and fireworks display. Hope you enjoyed yourselves - we certainly did and were very glad to see you. We covered the cost of the fireworks and also managed to raise £1150 for the scout group funds. A massive thank you to all the parents who gave up their evening to help out - it really is appreciated and also thanks to the leaders who as usual were stalwarts who took holidays from work to make this event a success.

Massive thanks to everyone that came to the Scout hall last night for the bonfire and fireworks display. An incredible turnout and we're sorry we couldn't let everyone in but we do have to make sure everyone is safe. Through the donations given at the gate and the hotdog, soup and tuck shop sales we raised £1837.99 which all goes towards group funds. Thank you again and especially to our neighbours in Carlyle Drive and surrounding streets for putting up the the disruption on the night.

The explorer scouts who are taking part in international experiences next year where running a raffle to help fund-raise for there trips, they managed to raise £35 each which is going towards paying for the trips, thanks to everyone who bought a ticket. The winning raffle ticket was White 691-695, if you have this ticket please contact us using the contact us link at the top of this page, you have until the 12th of November to contact us, if the prize is not calmed it will go towards fundraising funds.

All sections at the 3rd East Kilbride enjoyed a fun weekend at there group Camp at the Craig's scout centre near Bathgate last weekend. Both the Cubs and scouts spend two nights away with the scouts under canvas both night and the Cubs joining them for the second night, and the Beavers arriving on the Saturday morning to spend one night away. Throughout the weekend they where split in to teams containing members of all three sections where they worked together to complete a trading post. All sections also got together for a group camp-fire on the Saturday night and a scouts own on the Sunday where the new members of the scout troop where invested. Sunday consisted of more fun and games including archery playing in the park, and on a selection of inflatables including a mechanical bull and the groups new bouncy castle.

Even the treasurer can have fun.
