Cub Scouts is for young people, usually aged between 8 and 10 years. A young person can come into the Pack at 7½ and may stay until they are 10½  years old. The Cub Scouts is the Second section in the Scout Group, above Beavers.


The 3rd East Kilbride Scout Group has two cub packs one which meets on a Wednesday night and one on a Friday night. The Cub Pack is divided into small groups called Sixes , each headed up by an older Cub called a Sixer assisted by an other cub called a seconder.


Cubs get to try a wide range of activities. from traditional scouting skills and camping, crafts, fun games to outdoor adventures.

Cubs is based around the story of the jungle book by Rudyard Kipling with the Cub Leader named Akela after the Den leader in the story, and the other leader names after other characters in the story.
